Update for AD

The AD site is currently down due to an error in its database. It'll be fixed as soon as it is.

Until that time feel free to chat here, but ignore the top banner, that is purely a test I was running a few weeks ago.

If enough of you are interested I can roll with an RP to keep things mulling over.

On with the chat,

Last night I watched Highschool of the Dead. If you can get over the huge amounts of fan service and large breasts its really really good. The music is great, the blood is ramped up to gallons and the reactions from the characters are interesting.

Did I forget to say that its an Anime about the zombie apocalypse?

It forgets itself and becomes a movie almost at some points and it was a lot of fun all the way through. I should say it seems like there are only going to be 12 episodes of which two of aired. Its also very pretty, I don't watch all that much new stuff but the animation and CGI are both very good and worth a look just for the cherry blossoms.

I also finished To Aru Kagaku no Railgun yesterday though I need to watch the original it ties too still.

I loved that as well, interesting characters with very good music and more than happy to swing between comedy (that I found funny for once) and rather extreme violence against young girls that always kept it rather tense. Totally not using any of it as inspiration for the future powers RP... at least not too much....

Anyone else been watching anything?

I'm quite happy with people carrying on minor Rps from AD here,

Anything you want to throw out I'm quite happy to progress with until we can post them on the site. We can even run a little separate character play with something mundane attached. Just going to town for example, let the characters interact for a bit.

@AD: Bah, those darned DB issues. :/

@Anime: To be honest, I dropped HSoD after the first episode. It's nothing against the series itself; I'm just not into that particular genre with the whole 'zombie apocalypse.' (4 player co-op of L4D is the exception though )

Railgun is a fun watch, though the 'climax' wasn't particularly special. But yeah, there are a lot of tie-ins with the original Index.

I just watched Black Lagoon: Roberta's Blood Trail ep1, which pretty much follows the same story arc that was started in Vol 7 or 8. Animation style's the same and seeing Fabiola in action was nice.

Also got Katanagatari ep 7, GaoGaiGar Final, Shiki, Senkou no Night Raid on queue, among others.

Well Liu it was on the list of ones I would be thinking about doing.

I was working on a variation that takes more of a detective crime Rp with those sorts of elements. But it does indeed take some elements from Railgun.

Its not AD based in my head but no reason you can't import characters, though I don't know about running this and Battle Royale here right now.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

On a serious note, I am excited for the battle Royale thing-a-majigger. Also wish we could continue Esterboard (so i could jump in) and Iwaku. Alons with ADX and AD...

All I can do on the Val front is try and get him on MSN still,

No answer of course but there isn't much else that can be done.

Well it seems that we have enough people to roll with I'll get the draw for BR started and we can move with that.

I'm not sure how this is currently handled, but I didn't find out about this place until I decided to get on the IRC chat room.

I'm wondering if it's possible to PM/email other members or put some message on AD to direct them here.

@RP: Hmm...I don't have any intention of joining the BR RP. Perhaps later we could work on whatever you have in mind regarding that esper RP.

The sites email list, like a great many things can normally only be accessed by the Cpanel, which unless Val does it would require it to be hacked.

For people that have put their email addresses inside their profiles it might be possible to get them from backups, I'm not sure.

After a look around it doesn't seem possible to get most peoples addresses without the Cpanel,

As for a message on the page, same thing only editable as admin.

As Val is now totally ignoring me and he is the only one with the power to make any changes it all up to him.

Okay, I double-checked when I logged into AD. I can access the Admin CP, though I need to figure out if/how I can edit the message. I can, however, access member data, which includes e-mails (I don't know how to send AD-wide emails like Val could before).

I don't have much time at the moment, but I'll see if I can figure this crap out later on. >.<

Sorry for disappearing like I did guys. Had to deal with Uni amongst other new things that came about in March.

I... it was odd haha. I wasn't doing so well with keeping up with Uni work and at the same time felt like going onto AD. In an attempt to create some motivational thing out of it, I said I'd get this piece of work done then go onto AD but as it turned out, I never ever wanted to even touch the topic of what Australian Design and other communication history. Thus the guilt spiraled for the months that ensued along with other stuff that made me opt to decide I ought to sort myself out before returning inadequately. In anycase, I'm here now and wondering what RPs need catching up on and which ones definitely need to be continued. Any ideas?

Otherwise, I've just been watching Sengoku Basara, it's pretty entertaining especially with the character interactions.
I was torn between laughing and awe when I saw the portrayal of Honda Tadakatsu. Plus Date's engrish seals it for me "Put ya gunz on!"

@Basara: Yeah, it's fairly bland in the depth department, but it's a fun watch. (HON-DAM! )
I'm watching the 2nd season (ep 2) and it's, well, more Basara. xD

@Techi: Quick Q, I decided to try Insanity for ME2. Would it be easier to start with a lvl 1 char or go with an existing lvl 30 char? ('cause I tried the first few missions with my lvl 30 fem ren infil...and damn xD )
